1996 International Touring Car Championship, Alman turing otomobil şampiyonasının on üçüncü sezonu ve aynı zamanda (International Touring Car Championship) adı altındaki ilk ve son sezonuydu. FIA Class 1 Touring Otomobillerin katılımıyla düzenlenen organizasyonda, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo ve Opel yarıştı. Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft serisinden oluşan organizasyon, 1995 yılında hem Almanya'da hem de Uluslararası bazda seri olarak düzenlendi. Daha sonra Uluslararası Touring Otomobil Şampiyonasını (ITC olarak kısaltılır) oluşturmak üzere birleştirildi. Opel Calibra ile yarışan organizasyonun son şampiyonu oldu ve Opel de üreticiler şampiyonluğunu kazandı.
