Hayatı ve kariyeri
Bir Roma Katoliği olarakGüney Kore'nin Seul şehrinde doğdu.Kyundong ortaokulunu bitirdi. 1980'lerde filmlerde yer almaya başladı ve toplamda 100'den fazla filmde yer almaktadır. Birkaç yabancı dil bilmesi nedeniyle UNICEF, Ahn'ı UNICEF İyi Niyet Elçilesi ilan etti.
Askerliğini ise gönüllü bir topçu subayı olarak yaptı.[]
2008 yılında 'nü aldı.
23 Haziran 2012'de Ahn, Lee Byung-hun ile birlikte, Los Angeles'taki Hollywood'da bulunan Grauman Çin Tiyatrosu'nda iz bırakan ilk Koreli aktör oldu.
